Kiran Kumar. Kommu obtained his graduate (Ph D) degree from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi in the subject of Nematology in the year 2017. He was joined in Agricultural Research Service as scientist at ICAR- Central Citrus Research Institute (CCRI), Nagpur on 18th October, 2016. During his doctoral programme he worked at University of Hertfordshire (UH), United Kingdom (UK) for 3 months under DST-UKIERI project. He awarded ICAR- SRF(PGS) during the year 2014. He is a recipient of Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship by University Grants Commission (UGC)

for pursuing Ph D at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi during 2013-2016. He is a recipient of International Best Scientist Award in Crop Protection (Agriculture) by RULA in the year 2020. He was honoured on the 36th Foundation Day of ICAR-CCRI for his significant contributions in the development of the Institute. His current research areas are 1) Diversity and distribution of plant parasitic nematodes associated with citrus in India 2) Studies on the influence of root exudates on Tylenchulus semipenetrans and Meloigyne indica.
