Evening Stone Marboh, PhD, joined the ICAR service on 1st July 2014 and got his first posting at ICAR-National Research Centre on Litchi (NRCL), Muzaffarpur. On 30th June 2021, he was relieved from ICAR-NRCL and joined ICAR-CCRI, Regional Research Centre for Citrus (RRCC), Biswanath Chariali, Assam, on 2nd July 2021. He acquired his BSc. (Agriculture) from CAU, Imphal, MSc. (Horticulture) from GBPUAT, Pantnagar and PhD (Pomology) from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi and was awarded ICAR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) by University Grants Commission. He has been working on maintaining the fruit quality and shelf life of litchi and in genetic improvement of litchi and longan. Currently he serves as Officer Incharge of RRCC and is working on evaluating different varieties of citrus, rejuvenation of declined Khasi Mandarin and studying the phenology of citrus in Northeastern Region of India. He has contributed in the release of two varieties of litchi, Gandaki Lalima and Gandaki Yogita, one variety of longan, Gandaki Longan-1 and one technology on bagging in litchi. He is a Life Member of Horticultural Society of India, Confederation of Horticultural Association of India, Society for Horticultural Research and Development and Indian Society of Citriculture.
