Dr. A. Thirugnanavel
I, Dr. A. Thirugnanavel have obtained PhD degree from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in the subject of Fruit Science in the year 2010. I Cleared ARS in 2009 and joined in ICAR during May 2010. I have served in ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland centre (2010-2015) and ICAR National Research Centre for Banana, Trichy, Tamil Nadu (2015-2017). Since, November, 2017, I have working in ICAR Central Citrus Research Insitutute, Nagpur. The salient findings include "Developed Integrated Farming system models suitable for small and marginal farmers" "Developed DUS testing guidelines for Taro (Colocasia esculenta L.)" "Characterization and identification of elite high yielding lines of colocasia" "Development of package of packages for Gerbera" "Characerization and identification of wild Musa species suitable for ornamental industries" Presently I am working in management of citrus plant genetic resources, Rootstock and scion improvement, advanced citrus production systems, raised bed system evaluation.
